Annual Lay Day at Greater Mt. Zion AME Church brought together community leaders and public servants, including Every Child Valued Executive Director Kiya King Green, New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Caldwell and Attorney General-elect Jennifer Davenport, for a powerful day of reflection and connection in Trenton.
Lieutenant Governor Caldwell delivered an inspiring message on answering one’s calling, emphasizing service, obedience to purpose, and being willing to say “yes” even when the path isn’t fully clear.
A meaningful connection was also made through Lead New Jersey, as both Lt. Gov. Caldwell and Executive Director Kiya King Green of Every Child Valued, are LeadNJ Fellows. Their conversation highlighted Kiya’s leadership work with Every Child Valued and Trenton Housing Authority and opened the door for continued collaboration, reinforcing the importance of staying connected to people doing mission-driven work across the state.
